Tango 59 Degrees Stockholm City International Festival

Teachers

• Ezequiel Paludi & Sabrina Masso (Argentina)
• Ezequiel and Sabrina represent the new generation of tangueros, and are considered as one of the most exciting young couples today. They are the most representative contemporary Argentinean couple of the fusion between the classic tango elegance and the modern evolution of the dance, switching with the greatest of versatility and ease from smooth classical salon to avant-garde explosivity to dancing tango to a live rock band. They have participated in many international festivals such as Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, Genova, Lille, Cosmotango, and many others. In 2004, for the second time they closed the festival of Buenos Aires.

Workshops will be available as set packages:

• You can choose an allround package where you will meet two or more of the teacher couples, with 12 to 15 student couples,
• or you can choose to study intensively with just one teacher couple of your choice, with only 8 student couples.
• In addition, separate single-lesson workshops are available with all teachers: you can use them to go deeper with a specific topic, or to go even deeper with a particular teacher couple.

For the international visitor

Stockholm is the capital city of Sweden as well as being the country's largest city. A metropolis of 1.5 million, it lies on the east coast of Sweden where the country's third largest lake, Mälaren, has its outlet into the Baltic sea. The city is built on a system of islands making water a natural feature of the surroundings. During the last few years water purification efforts have resulted in water in the centre of Stockholm fit to bathe in, certainly a possibility unique for a city of its size. Roughly a third of the area of Stockholm consists of park lands. Long and sultry days, made possible by Stockholm's northerly location, offer leisurely and enjoyable strolls in this beautiful city.

The original district of Stockholm, "the Old Town", is a thoroughly engaging sightseeing destination filled with medieval architecture. Here you will find thirteenth century churches, the supreme court, as well as the  royal castle where the changing of the guard can be witnessed daily. During the summer months young and old alike frequent the many cafés along the city's many narrow alleyways. Surrounding Stockholm one finds a sailor's paradise, a 24 000 island archipelago.
