James McNatt is one of the top teachers working in the field of fitness and dance today. He moved to Stockholm after living and working in NYC for 20 years.

In NY he taught at many top dance studios including Steps, Alvin Ailey, and Finis Jhung. He moved to Stockholm and is currently on the faculty of Balettakademien. He has worked professionally here with many singers and dancers including giving Floortechnique©™ classes to the cast of Mama-Mia. He is also a certified Yamuna Bodyrolling teache and was featured on ‘Du är vad du äter’.

James is familiar with the demands of all types of dancing and has developed his own method of traning--Floortechnique©™ which is perfect to develop strength, flexibility and awareness in ones body.

WHAT IS FLOORTECHNIQUE™? "It is a blend of Pilates and Yoga that I have developed over the past 25 years, also drawing on my experience as a dancer, a teacher, and my involvement with other disciplines such as Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique. It has grown out of my own past injuries and my experiences with my students who are and unending source of inspiration and education as to finding out what the human body is capable of.

Most people find the work very relaxing, releasing stress and calming the mind, as this work is about using the brain as well as the body. A typical class begins with breathing and relaxation, centering the body and mind. Gradually building, working all the muscles and joints through specific exercises. We finish with 20-30 minutes of stretching. When you have finished the class you will feel refreshed and ready to go!"

"The classes I will give at Tango Norte will emphasize lengthening the spine and working on strengthening these muscles as well as the deep core abdominal muscles. Exercises to increase flexibility in the legs and feet will also be emphasized. We will finish the class by working the feet with Footsavers"

Kursen vänder sig speciellt till dig som dansar tango och som önskar förbättra din hållning, öka din smidighet och förebygga problem med fötterna.
